Sill Beating- Medium Spice
You will laugh. You will cry. You will panic. You will blush.
This is to date, my favorite spicy read. I am a sucker for a good suspense novel, but I didn't know how BLISSFUL the combination of spice and suspense was until this book. Jennifer Hartmann, I NEED more!! She does an excellent job at keeping you guessing and absolutely engrossed in the book. Beware, I found myself up way past my bedtime with this read which is rare. This is a very difficult book to put down, but let's be real, I'm not complaining ;)
A little blurb:
Cora and Dean have been life long sworn enemies. Dean has been with Cora's sister, Mandy, for over 14 years. They prank each other, insult each other, you would almost think they were a marries couple. A few short weeks before Mandy and Dean say, "I do" a life altering event strikes them. Will Dean and Mandy ever be the same? Will Cora and Dean ever be the same? Will Mandy and Cora ever be the same? To find out how this trio's dynamic changes forever, you can find this for free on Amazon with the Kindle Unlimited subscription.
SPOILER ALERT!!!
Alright my fellow spice readers. I am DYING to talk about this one. As always the comment section is a book club for spicy readers.
HOLY HECK GUYS!!! I have so much to say. First, I would love to know how y'all felt about Mandy being all pissy about her and Dean getting together? I was SO MAD!! Like girl, maybe I just read too much, but that is so inevitable. They were BOUND to fall for each other. You cant expect their lives to ever be the same. I feel like she down played it so much and it was highly irritating.
Also, I am not sure how I feel about Dean leaving town. I really and truly think they could have worked it out if he stayed, but on the other hand she did so much healing while she was gone. What do you think?
Lastly, can we talk about how big of a "F-you" it was for her to adopt Earls dogs. I did NOT see that one coming. I really didn't. I was so proud of her for doing that considering they had the notion that those dogs would chew on their bones once they died. I don't say this word often because it is so mainstream, but SLAY!!!!
Happy Reading!
XOXO,
K.LEX
